DECEMBER GLOSSYBOX REVIEW !!

Whilst I am still getting in to the swing of things I thought a nice easy way for me to start would be to review this months GlossyBox, which I received last week. Now it's important I mention i was on the verge of cancelling my subscription this month after being a member for about 4 months now because i was starting to find every month there was only one product per box i actually liked and would consider buying the full size product again. Also, the whole reason i joined GlossyBox was for the Makeup items and there just seemed to be too many moisturisers, hand creams all of which id never actually go out and buy. So this was going to be my last box however GlossyBox well and truly impressed me with their Christmas edition box enough for me to keep my subscription for perhaps a couple more months :) & the packaging was LUSHHH <3

So What Was Inside??
  • BLINK + Go Hi – Definition Mascara - £14.99
  • CARGO COSMETICS Classic Lip Gloss - £10.00
  •  Deborah Lippmann – Razzle Dazzle mini Nail Varnish with stripped to go sachet – Polish £14 (pack of 6 removers)
  •  MEMEME Seventh Heaven - £15.00
  • Rituals foaming shower gel - £6.50
Blink + Go Hi-Definition Mascara

As i’m in DIRE NEED of buying a new mascara i was really happy to see one in my GlossyBox. I am yet to try it out properly however i did quickly try it out on one eye before i went to bed last night and it definitely enhanced the length of my eyelashes and no excess flicked off around my eye which is always a bonus. I will definitely add this to my daily make-up routine – and was nice of Glossy Box to send me the full-size product. The packaging is also very striking with their signature green and black combination.

Cargo Cosmetics Classic Lip Gloss
Was chuffed to see another makeup product, and this time a lip gloss. Although im not really a lip gloss wearer, i prefer lipsticks i was happy to try this out. It simply adds sparkle to your lips and the colour i received is very similar to my natural lip colour so i’d never wear it alone but it adds a lovely sparkle to my lipsticks so its another product i’ve added to my daily makeup routine.

Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle Mini Nail Varnish & Stripped to go sachet

I LOVE my nail varnishes, and am very loyal to Barry M.. BUT of course with GlossyBOX im introduced to different makes. Now on initial look i was very excited to try this as it is the first nail varnish i own that has glitter in it. It did look lovely on my nails, and i’d definitely wear it again it took three coats to look nice and thick the way i like it. I was disappointed by the mitt that the nail varnish came with i didnt find it did a overly spectacular job at removing my nail varnish and could have achieved a quicker result using my usual Boots nail varnish remover, and cotton wool. I also dont think it was very well suited to the nail varnish it came with as i found the mitt sticking to the glitter, and it removed one hand completely however it was not enough for the other 5 nails. Also it was VERY VERY strong smelling – too strong for my liking – product for the bin!!

MEMEME Seventh Heaven
Now this is a “luxurious moisturising facebase” ideal for wearing before you apply your makeup. First thing i noticed about this product was the heavenly smell!! It is very strong and sweet, and the product itself leaves your skin well moisturised and very nice to apply your makeup over it. This is the only product out of this months glossybox that i will go on to buy the full product version of as i have used it religiously for the past couple of days so the £5 off discount code will come in handy, that is providing im not put off the strong smell as at the moment i find it very nice im easily put off if a smell lingers for too long.. so we shall see.

RITUALS Foaming shower gel
Baring in mind i recently lost my entire toilitries bag at the gym **sheds tear** at least i wont have to purchase a new shower gel just yet thanks to GlossyBox this month. Now i’m used to simply buying Superdrugs own for about £1.50-£2.00 and as long as they smell really nice im happy. So this is the first time id be trying something a little more high-end. I am yet to try this however was happy to receive yet another full-sized product and the smell is very nice indeed, depending on if it does what it says on the tin and leaves my skin silky soft and smooth i will buy another otherwise a trip to Superdrug is in order.

All in all I was VERY PLEASED with this month's GlossyBox especially having been sent two full-sized products.. Come back to see what i think on Next Months products :)

Eeeeeekkkk!!! So Excited!!

FIRST POSTTTT!!

Hi anyone reading :) This is my first post and I'm so excited :) .. I've been meaning to start a blog for a while now but found the whole idea slightly daunting, and then today instead of cracking on with my 2000 word assignment i thought I'd invest my time in this instead. Bare with me while i get to grips with it but i can promise you you wont be disappointed.

Decided to dedicate my first post in telling you a little bit about myself, and what my blog will consist of. So, I'm 19 and currently in my first year studying a BA Hons in English Language and also working part-time at a solicitors so i don't have to live the next few years as a skint student. I'm very career focused at the moment and hopefully in a few years will be a qualified teacher coping with rebel teenagers like i once was (possibly still am..oh dear). Also, dream to travel the world one day.. no doubt it will happen.

I am definitely a compulsive buyer, and not one to shy away from new looks so my wardrobe/makeup/hair needs updating possibly every month if not sooner. So, a lot of what i buy i will now share with you guys and give my honest opinion on everything, and that will include things from new clothes, hair/makeup products and anything else new i thinks worth knowing about. I'm generally also quite opinionated so if there's any other worldly affair i feel blogging about i will do accordingly. My all time fave designer is Vivienne Westwood closely followed by Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Alexander Mcqueen. High-street wise i love Topshop, River Island, Miss Selfridges, Republic, Bank and the list goes on...also new favourite store is a local one which goes by the name of Pink Caddilac - one word - AMAZING.

Inspiration wise i am a huge fan of Rihanna! And not very long ago went to see her in concert and boy was it EPIC!! There's no denying that i absolutely love her "don't care" attitude, and how she is forever changing her style, the woman can make ANYTHING look good. If anyones interested I'll probably upload pictures and maybe even a video or two later - but i would definitely recommend EVERYONE to go see her on her next tour you wont regret it.

Anyway I'll let that be the end of my first post.. so i hope you enjoyed reading and feel free to comment with any blog related advice you may think i need - or anything at all really :)

Take Care xx
